Duff found material with Godwinks!........Which critter are you this morning?

There is something so fun for me about coming home from a day of work and seeing a brightly colored gift envelope!

Duff, THANK YOU, Soul sista!!!!  To celebrate, I made this wall piece and had so much fun with it!  I will let the pics do the narrative.....
Which critter inspired a giggle or "that is so ME!"?

Ever feel like you are chasing a nut that ever eludes you.......OR....you are the nut being chased?

This is in honor of my CLS, Sharon, and her sweet babes! Hudson and Babe... Notice the Godwink- "Listen for the whisper of angel wings"  in the branch.
Love at the roots.....Love for nourishment......
Duff, are you the raccoon or the Possum?  I would rather be the Possum if you don't have a preference :)!

Celebrating...WINDOWS!!!! and "calling in well"...

I think the flowers are a "stretch" for being windows, maybe....DRAPES!
I decided to "call in well" today and went on a desert walk.  Enjoy!
I started with someone's fun idea of this picture frame of real life...at the coffee shop... and little did I know that "windows" would become the theme of my morning....
The above pictures were along the way of my treasure hunt.  A close friend had told me of this canyon area and that he had created a replica of Indian ruins.  I had almost given up when I followed a path....
The photo is deceiving....the miniature beauty was indeed that- maybe 2-3 inches high in a small shelf hidden from the eye unless a Godwink inspires you to look up!
Hope you enjoyed a little excursion and I am grateful you could join me!

Magic beanie, Where shall we go and what shall we Celebrate......

Years ago Sean created this beanie and placed on the handlebar of a tricycle he created out of copper plumbing pipe.  The tricycle was inspired by an artist who drew this flying in the air...To this day it makes me smile as I see it in the garden and for the first time I looked closely at the trinkets.....And the beanie was magic....Today was beyond my imagination for blessings, love and giggles!!!!!

The classsic Pinata....

Something magical about a treehouse that we never outgrow!!!!

I never tire of God's beauty in my backyard as I feed the goldfish, bind on the sitting deck or eat a sandwich with the boys on the stone steps.  Southern Utah in bloom is undescribable! Imbetween a morning walk with Noah, bmx-ing at the skate park, doing the fit test to Insanity, binding 2 quilts and planning a new pattern and CELEBRATING a dear friend's 6 year birthday, I had the incredible blessings of talking to Green Fairy and giggle congrats to her for her recently published pattern in a quilt magazine and receive love from Bri and Judi. And of course, DUFF wrote to me and I laughed out loud as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Whew....I am sleepy!

What CELEBRATIONS await us this week?

What came first... the sign or the beauty?

I love how the sunbeams play on the home from the slats in the pergola.....

Was curious if the sign inspired the flowers or the flowers inspired the sign.....

Kind of fun to think of what inspired me to do.....such and such or....such and such.....or SUCH and SUCH!

CELEBRATING you who inspire me with your comments, your kindness, your being when you pop into my mind as I see or do something that reminds me of you!!!!  Love, Em

GREEN FAIRY is my quilting Celestial Goddess!

I could not resist sharing my latest art piece that I got to pick up from Judi this morning.  I am so excited because it is a new pattern she quilted and so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Stars and Suns-PERFECT!  This is for a twin nephew of mine to be born in the next couple of weeks while the other quilt has been quietly waiting for its partner to be completed!

How lucky am I to be able to visit the Green Fairy in person when picking up my quilts!

I apologie the pic is poor but I was excited to hang them up together last night in my quilt room to celebrate the "twins" idea.  I cannot wait for my nephews to arrive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  2 weeks from tomorrow!!!! or around there......

CELEBRATING! Marston and Moran inspiration!

A little wonky art piece that I played with during Idol last night.  Will be a large Mother's Day card.....I love love COLLABORATIVE QUILTING- Gwen Marstona and Freddy Moran are amazing!!!!

Utah's desert is a rainy/snowy Wonderland.....A little stitchy spring for your day!

I am so excited to start the hand stitching on this quilt and hang in my office.  I love this MOMO line!

"2 Little birdies sittin' in a tree,K-I-S-S-I-N-G!...."

Do you ever find yourself just 1 quilt behind or searching for the perfect gift for someone?.....

Well, that was me up until today for a dear friend's recent wedding.  Victoria at BumbleBeans continues to inspire me with her "15 minute projects" and this was more like 90 minutes....but SO FUN!!!! Currently just layed out but was excited to share.  I will glue and hand stitch this evening with the hope to mail in next couple of days.

Thank you for letting me share, it seems as though I have been at a creative stalemate and nice to feel an inspiration today!

CELEBRATING an impromptu trip and...... What a weekend!

Another stunning piece by sis, Sharon.  Her talent is so inspiring to me!  This past weekend was an impromptu "jump in the car and go" to Salt Lake and what a FABULOUS 36 hours!!! Hope you enjoy the family fun and smiles!
Grandma Dorothy is the hostess of the Spring Jonas birthday parties that included 5 of us birthday peeps.  Look closely at this MATRIARCH....She is 96, no med, lives on her own and the SPICIEST woman I know.  A hero that I will soon celebrate in her own post.  This party was what inspired us to travel to Salt Lake, 4 hours north of our home. "Grandma Dorf" is a significant hero in my life!
Harley's first trip on a skateboard.  When I saw this photo today I couldn't resist the thought of "God's
hands gently urging us to GO FOR IT!!!!"
Harley loved tickling the ivories with me.  This mere 2 year old is clay in my hand as I love her up!!!
Harley thought she would wait a few years before trying the Kick Flip that SP was mentoring her.
We spoiled the kids by surprising them with a night at Grand America and did they have a blast in the suite!  Noah loved the plush robe that he turned into a wrestling robe as you can see in the below photo.
Something so awesom about seeing brothers 12 years apart that are best of friends!!!
And of course, my boys at their MANLY finest!  The grounds of the hotel were breathtaking!
I can at least dream of having a little estrogen with me on the trips with MY BOYS, right....Quilt retreat anyone?
Headed to the park today for the kids to skate and me and Sean be reminded of strolling in the middle of a city.  How about this for entertainment- He is on his way to following in Grandma Dorothy's footsteps...
A favorite of my all time- feeding bread to ducks.  The boys were laughing hysterically as they threw bread in the air and the sea gulls would catch in mid-flight.  Celebrating my other Grandma, Minnie Eileen, who always took us to feed the ducks when we were little.
Walking to breakfast allowed us to CELEBRATe the architecture of old old building.  The flower motif on this building was a beauty for a quilt border....Wish it showed up better.
CLASSIC. Painted on the side of a prominent building dowtown.
The trip ended with a wonderful visit with my mom and a CELEBRATION of her wonky wedding ring quilt inspired by COLLABORATIVE QUILTING book by Marston and Moran.
And the classic ICON of my brother's childhood promised that Mom was in good hands until we return again for another visit and MAYHEM OF LOVE!

"This moment will change my life forever......" CELEBRATING Noah's determination and a wonky try at a fun quilt I have been seeing on blogs....

The stars were aligned, unfortunately not in this traditional selvage spin-off that is instead almost too wonky for my taste....when we made plans to camp this past weekend.  Little did Sean and I know that Noah's "Life would change forever"......An experimental baby quilt that seemed to fit the theme of this post.....

I continue to recite this line over and over in my mind since Noah proclaimed it to me in a humble whisper at the baseball field 2 days ago.  Noah is 8 and has been signed up for a local little kid baseball league.  This comes after having camped with Rick and Tracey this past weekend and their oldest signing up.  He believes that baseball may be the future for him and is currently living, breathing and sleeping it.  He and Sean played catch for 2 1/2 hours last night and this is just typical of my sweetie.  I have gotten into the action and absolutely LOVE LOVE my pink and black catching mit and hit a few base hits the other night......Today I got the pitching machine.....HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We wore out the pitching machine tonight..... OH GOODNESS! Back it goes with the receipt.....

While baseball has taken over my son's heart and soul, What does this Post title inspire in you?
