Driving to Bryce Canyon yesterday was gorgeous scenery and a tearful experience as Noah watched Battle Los Angeles on the movie player.....I had not see this movie and was so in awe of the real life character sketches and portrayal of men and women, girls and boys, who go to war to fight because of loyalty to our flag and its symbolism....I get a lump in my throat as I think of sending my father to war twice growing up and paying tribute to him on graduation night in 1991 when he was faraway....And I cry for famililes whose children never returned to raise a family and be an individual....to create.....and then I have the photo op below......
THANK YOU, GOD! For moments that remind us that time slips through our hands like water....revelled but not held.....
The hands of our forefathers....I often look at my son and wonder,
"What will he do with his life when he is a man?"
I have fallen in love with photos of hands and I wonder...what were Sean and Noah talking about in this moment?
Another favorite as you know... the RIPPLE EFFECT!......
The contrast of the white and blue......
Sending love from a trailer in Southern Utah! May you have a moment this weekend!!!!
Love, Em

Beautiful , beautiful pictures. Thank you Em!
On Memorial Day I took my uncles 82nd Airborne wings out of my jewelry box and found them a place in my sewing room.
So, so pretty!!!!
Happy Independance Day Em!
My Dad was a SeaBee in the Navy in WWII. He served in Guadalcanal & has told me many stories of his {awful} time there. But one of his favorites stories is when they were given leave in New Zealand. There ship was unloaded at midnight...right into the mess hall, that was filled with tables & tables of FRESH fruit & vegetables! Dad said that the first thing he came to was a tomato, and he picked it up & ate it like an apple. Up until that day, he hated tomatoes!!
Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures of your getaway with us!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are an awesome lady. Great pics!

Getting caught up on your blog and enjoying your photos of Bryce Canyon and your motorcycling. Looks fun. L is off on his trip to Alaska, and it's just us girls here, fending for ourselves. Oh, and we had another litter of kittens while we were gone. Wheee! We have 10 cats at the moment. I sorta feel like a "cat lady." LOL!
