Before reading the story that narrates this photo....What do you imagine these brothers talking about?.....
This past weekend my assistant was on vacation and so I made many trips to the top of a nearby sandhill to check my phone for messages and schedule satellite calls with my staff teams for updates on ill kids...True wilderness nursing and what an amazing thing technology is.....
I arrived a few minutes before noon on Easter and was sitting quietly in the Rhino thinking about the morning and then spied these 2 young boys approach the overlook. As the older boy put his arm around his brother he asked, "Do you remember when we came here together when you were little?"
I will never know the intimacies of this sweet duo but the love that this young man had and the reverie in his throat....I wonder what their story is.
All because I wanted to be a few minutes early for a phone call....
TOO touching on this TOOsday...

Young people are so adorable when they talk about "when I was little" or "my whole life." (Not to mention the fraternal sweetness you witnessed.)
I can't even begin to imagine how rewarding your job is. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing....those are the sweetest things in life.

We are surrounded everyday with sweetness like this but don't take the time to witness it. I like to think there is more good and kindness in the world than evil and meanness.......and aren't we lucky to have Em show us so much goodness in the world!
Happy sewing
Aww, my boys used to be like that! (Before the Big Divide!) That is so sweet - I agree with Kim, we are lucky to have you Em; you remind us of the good, the sweet, the positive things that we so often brush past too quickly. We instead should celebrate them!

You make me slow down Em.... Xo
Love it. And I'm sitting here bitching about my satellite internet connection...it's so cloudy I can't get a good signal and it's slower than dial up. Wish I could remember to stop and smell the roses like you do.
