Do you ever just sit and look at your creations....and say "Thank you, God!" for fabric and friends who inspire!

I came into my office so early this morning and felt inspired to peruse through photos.....CELEBRATING quilts and kids and love and your stories behind the quilts that I know live amongst you!  What wonderfulness I experience with your visits and comments to my blog!

So for you who have deadlines and are overwhelmed with the WIP's......sit down, breathe, and CELEBRATE your gift as quilter and what you have finished!

And anyone who has a quilt shown above and has a minute,  pls send me a note of what they would whisper to me if I saw them in your home this afternooon....or a celebration that they witnessed in your home while they quietly smile on your wall.

I don't have a picture up there, but I would whisper that you inspire me with your posts and colors and love of life. You make me not take my life so seriously.

My beautiful quilt would say, "Em, you were right. This is where I belong. Today she felt bad because she made some blocks for a swap and although people looked at them on the flicker site, there weren't any comments. She convinced herself that the blocks stunk, even though she liked them last night and was so anxious to share. Today she looked at the piles she feverishly cut last night, berated her color choices, and then pulled me off the back of the couch and snuggled up to take a nap. Whenever she feels less than fearless, she comes to me for a hug because she knows I love her and believe in her. She says if she can find me in human male form she'll get married again. Until then, though, she'll keep me close at hand and heart."

My Em creation welcomes me as I sink into the recliner on particularly weary evenings, usually with a child snuggled on my lap (although they are getting darned heavy! Looking forward to having a lightweight again!). Just this past week, it watched a Kermit the Frog movie with us. Just as Kermit sings about loving his swampy home, my heart sings about loving my home and the people I share it with, and the comforts, including your quilt, that make my house a home. I did hear it whispering just the other day, though, that I needed to get potpourri or candles or something to make my house smell as wonderful as yours, since the heavenly scent that accompanyied it on its journey to my house has since dissapated.

My quilt is not in the picture but my quilt would tell you it feels adored and that it feels it has purpose to brighten our lives. It's on our wall for all to see and I am SO PROUD of it. I admire it on a daily basis multiple times a day! Love you Em!
