Hail Mary!.....She has an announcement to make!!!

I completed the feathers last evening for Miss Mary and was tickled to be able to pull the last 3 off without needing a template.  They are actually much more fun and freeing then I thought that they would be...

I love this quilt as the Kick-Off for our.........

A blog that will be an open forum for you to CELEBRATE! donning your Big Girl Pants and creating some beauty with free motion quilting....

Thanks to Cathy at http://wwwbiglakequilter.blogspot.com/ for the coaching!!!!  I am up and running with how to invite you to be able to post on the blog if you are interested.  Send me an email that you would like an invitation and POOF! it will be yours...
I am looking to have this blog be a venue that not only celebrates the process of learning and mastering  fmq but also to CELEBRATE! doing something that you have always been scared to try, buy or JUST DO!!!!

And why the allusion to Hail Mary?..

A Hail Mary pass or Hail Mary play in American football refers to any very long forward pass made in desperation with only a small chance of success, especially at or near the end of a half.

I love reading this definition because it rings so true to why I began to fmq and invest in Roxy...
Too long of a wait to get my quilts back from the quilter because I get so excited for the end result and wanting to add a challenge that allows for me to complete the whole process of a quilt.....

A sort of desperation initially as I threw out ruined practice pieces or unpicked for hours....that transformed into determination and a delight in finding support from blog friends as practice takes on fun and the domino effect of others DONNING THE BIG GIRL PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

with a lot of small chances comes the muscle memory to hit the jackpot, SCORE, and then share as the dance of a WIN is yours!!!

Love, Em

Although the expression had been used before, it was made famous when it was used to describe the game-winning touchdown pass by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach to Drew Pearson in a December 28, 1975, NFL playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings. Afterwards, it was reported that Staubach (a Roman Catholic) said, "I closed my eyes and said a Hail Mary."
