Chagall for the Children's Quilt....I have fallen in love with purple!

My interp of Chagall's "Painter and His Model" for the children's quilt I am working on . It is inspired by the book, Vincent Van Gogh's Cat if you are new to my blog and an my quilt project for 2011.   With this quilt, each block I am trying out different embellishing technics and/ or textures....

In this one, GATHERED CURTAINS.

I am having so much fun pushing the envelope and going into stitching territiory I have never tried.  Something really fun about these blocks accumulating and the finished quilt may just be the....CAT'S MEOW!

Next block....I am thinking the infamous...STARRY STARRY NIGHT...

Isn't there something so yummy about these purples...I could have fallen over when I found these blue and purple fabric I used for the windows behind the mountains.....Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

And please continue to leave comments for the Mini Quilts giveaway that goes until this Monday.  Details are from the post yesterday and such a treasure to win....leave me a love note and u are entered!

Love, Em
