Ok, I am cracking myself up right now as this pic posted.....Miss Cow's hoochie heart has taken on a look of her udders.....or a fine rump if you are following on the cattle trail.....And then I wonder if God had this same experience when piecing together Adam and Eve.....now I am thinking that the fig leaf was the original "BLEEP!" that we see on tv now......All in the direction and perspective...
Do you remember the day you learned to laugh at yourself?
(Bear with me, I woke up and realized that today start's vacation from taking call and I am giddy!
......Hence an inpromptu post!)
While quilting this center yesterday, I wrestled with how much quilting to do since so many people love baby quilts to be poofy and comfy and not the stiffness that tight quilting can cause......and then I thought of Judi the Green Fairy and following her creative instincts......so, I made feathers fat and loose and tightly quilted the center. A kind of compromise with me, myself and I Roxy. I decided to use sunshines, feathers and a little silliness in the corners.....movement design that reminds me of the cartoon cloud blowing signifying wind.....or in this case with it being a baby quilt...persed breathing during labor.
And the back, are you curious?
It is one of my more successful ones in regards to tension and Sean loved it!

Happy Friday, may you have renewed wind in your sails or an oppurtunity to recline, let the sails take you where ever the wind blows or....
jump ship and head to the quilt shop for a textile treat!

I love where the wind is blowing you and Roxy on this quilt.
I need to get some of my tops sandwiched so I can play along.
Enjoy your weekend Em!
Your quilting looks wonderful and I think you played it right with the loose and tight quilting.
No call???? Yeah...enjoy.
Em your feathers rock. Each time you quilt them they get better and better. I really have to sit down and try them but the heat has been getting to me. Sitting in front of a fan working on applique today.
Thanks for sharing so many wonderful pictures of your quilting it brings smiles to my face. Hugs.
Happy Va-Ca!
Somehow I think this means that Ms. Roxie will NOT be getting very much down-time...LOL
I love the "windy" corners........
Finally the wind is blowing here and putting e wind back into my wilted sails. I'm on the porch, supposedly snapping beans and shucking corn for dinner, but I had to see what you were up to. More fun, as usual! I received my heart yesterday and wore it until bedtime - thank you!!!
I'm laughing right along with you! I love silliness. Someday I will quilt those wonderful blowind winds in the corners. Just love that look!
Happy Vacation!
Deborah
