Do you have a ritual when sitting down for a creative moment at the sewing machine?

When Roxy and I are about to have a sewing date, I love to choose music on Pandora Radio that matches my mood, A warm cup of coffee and....I admit I have never gathered a train, drum or litle owl... Coulson may be on to something this morning as he sews with my sis!

What a great picture....so tell me what is it with Owls and little kids? My granddaughter is just over two and has several stuffed Owls and picks them out of every little drawing in her books. Something new?

Happy Sewing

My ritual: brew a cup of tea of coffee, light my candle from YOU (it's just a little nubbin now, but I am determined to burn it til it won't burn any more!), turn on some tunes (sometimes country; sometimes the Indigo Girls; sometimes Sarah Vaughn, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne and Billie Holiday; sometimes Prince - and all that was just YESTERDAY!), and then I figure out what my primary project is for the sewing session, and what my leader & ender project will be - I never just work on one thing at a time. And once I begin, time melts away...
