Would you like to win an autographed book? Come play with me, CELEBRATING! Mary Lou Weidman's new book

I LOVE LOVE you too, Ms. Mary Lou!  he he he!
Mary Lou has sent me an autographed book that is newly released this past month and I am excited to give away to one of YOU!!!!

How fun for your library!

This book is a GODwink in my life....I had received a phonecall 2 days prior to receiving or reading this book and was asked to make a baby quilt with cows as the theme....YEP, cows!  and guess what is showcased in Mary Lou's book?  YEP!

I decided to combine different ideas in the book in to this piece...still in early stages as you can see.

Gotta love the wonky star!  and I decided to follow Mary Lou's admonition to use brights for baby quilt in place of the typical...fun to go buy some KAFFEE's to CELEBRATE! this coming babe.

Sean looked through the book and remarked, "I bet I know which one will be your favorite."  Hmmmmmmmmmm, why would he ever think of this one with the cake, he he he!

CELEBRATING! the talent and fun of Mary Lou...and she CELEBRATES! God in her dedication....

And now for the good stuff, the rules for playing in this giveaway.

The giveaway will continue through Wednesday evening.  Your entry to the giveaway is leaving a comment on this post of a DEDICATION if you were publishing this book
or...
What would be the symbol in your CELEBRATE! quilt if you were creating one using Mary Lou's template.  In the narrative below the birthday cake quilt she encourages the reader to choose a celebration and then create!

Have fun and good luck...as for me..

It's milking time, off to create some udders,  hoochie mama flowers, a chick riding on Miss Cow and......

The EMbellishments are sure to be fun!

Love, Em

Have you seen all the great cow suggestions? Check out the chatboard at ML's site. Hilarious! I would definitely celebrate my family! I am greatly enjoying spending time with my lovely granddaughter this summer! (I need to make that baby quilt! Maybe for the next grandchild!)

My dedication would be something like this: To my mother-in-law, who introduced me to this art form/pasttime that has changed my life for the better, to my blogging heroes (Em, Bonnie, Tonya, Shay, Beth, Linda, Cheryl, Rachel, Victoria, Riel, Taryn, Char, Sinta Renee, Annette, Julie and so many more) who have inspired and supported me, to my sons who think I am the best quilter in the world (bless their little naive hearts), and to my husband, who gives me the time and space to create, I couldn't have done this without you! You all bring color and joy to my life!

My celebrate symbol would probably be a bowl of ice cream or an ice cream cone. I could (and sometimes do) eat ice cream every day, to celebrate accomplishments or sometimes just to celebrate the quiet time after the kids go to bed.

I would dedicate the book to all my blog friends who are such an inspiration to me. I believe you would be at the top of the list. Trying to beat the heat here in Michigan.

My celebration dedication would be to my very special son, Joe. He struggles with every day activities due to his autism. I love his little quirks and his ways of thinking. Thanks for the chance at this fabulous book!

My celebrate symbol would be 3 dancing shadows with their hands thrown up in the air because my 3 daughters make me happier than anything else on this planet. :D

My dedication would be to all the quilters who have taught and inspired me. My symbol would be a tulip--spring flowers always fill me with optimism.

I haven't seen an image from the book that hasn't inspired me. I'd love to win a signed (!) copy.

I would have to dedicate to my wonderful hubby who teases me to death but loves that I love to quilt. And to my wonderful daughters who love the quilts I make.

This is really a great book! And so you!!!!!
So good to read that it is dedicated to our God; I really think He loves to see all those colours also, because He created them.....
It is like there is a bit of Him inside everyone of us......
Love to you, Ria.

My dedication would be to Tonya for holding my hand and making me jump from the top diving board and to my daughter for her ongoing encouragement and eye for colour.

I'd just have to use those scrappy stars as my symbol because I love love love stars.

I would dedicate the book first to my Great-Grandmother. She lived to be 99, and I have a photo of her, quilt on her lap & a needle in the arm of the couch, taking a break. Next, to all of the wonderful, wonky quilters who have inspired me & challenged me & encouraged me along the way. (And that includes YOU Ms. Em!)

My symbol? A dancing cat I think! :D

My dedication would be to my sister. She is my biggest fan. Nothing I make is wrong, bad or ugly.
She loves it all. She loves it even more when I am giving it to her. At the same time, I am amazed and inspired by what she creates!

Not sure who my dedication would be to, maybe my mom for teaching me to sew. But my symbol would definitely be a cat of some sort, I still miss Rodger.

My dedication would surely be to my mother, who sewed for me when I was a child, who taught me sewing on her old treadle sewing machine when I got older and who left me lots of fabric for being creative myself.
My symbol for the Celebration Quilt would be a sun - lots of sparkling rays.
Thank you for such a great giveaway! I love your blog! Erika (ehellmich@yahoo.com)

My celebration quilt would have pictures of my grandchildren. I think that would be a sweet project.

I would include my family in my dedication - since most of my celebrations include them. Our symbol would be a cake, since we like to create special cakes for each occasion.
