Please throw my name in the pot for the darling quilt. My thoughts of boots take me to ski boots. My memory of the emergency room staff having to remove our son's ski boots after he broke both ankles still sends chills up my spine.

Just yesterday my DH said he needs a new pair of boots. Other boots: Boots & Coots (oil well firefighters), Texas A&M Aggies senior boots, a neighbor called "Boots". The boots in my closet are an 8. Thanks for the chance!

I rememer Go-go boots and Goldie Hawn wearing them on Laugh-In - Boy am I old - lol! My favorite memory concerning boots is when I discovered that my Dad was really Santa. His boot had a hole in the bottom and he used that same boot to make foot prints in the ashes from the fireplace for us to find on Christmas morning. I knew about the hold because I would help my dad take off his boots everyday after work. My boots are a size 7 1/2.
I would be thrilled to have the chance to win your wonderful quilt!

The boot quilt is going out!!? Oh, oh, oh!! ::Donkey jumping up and down - "Pick Me!" "Oh, Pick Me!":: hehe

My favorite boots, believe it or not, were my MUCKING BOOTS because every time I put them on meant I was going to spend the next hour or more hanging out with the 12 equine friends at the property, loving on them and getting loved on by them as I fixed up their stalls and water. I actually miss the very cool, very spirit-edifying communion of early-morning barn chore times more than I miss the riding times.

Well Em, you know I dream of cowboy boots one day. I'm a 7 1/2. Might have to wait till my girl finishes college!
My favorite boots were a pair with a large buckle from a few years ago.
I'd love to be included in the drawing for the quilt.

When I got married (in 1978) I wore a pair of deer skin mocassin boots that were made by a Kootney indian woman in the early 1900s. She gave them to my grandmother. I still have those boots. I also have mukluks, felt packs, ski boots, rain boots, hiking boots and water booties. All specific boots for specific purposes. Maybe I need some decorative cowboy boots ????

OH and I forgot to say - I wear size 9.

We live on a cattle ranch so cowboy boots (dress and work) are normal. My brother uses his horses daily so he adds spurs. I traded my hiking boots in for sandals - which we use more in Florida. As a kid, we would wear my father's size 12 EEE boots around. My size is just 11.5 B women's. And, yes, there are photos of nephews wearing their grandpa's boots with their diapers. They are now young men in their 20s. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I have a glass boot vase that we use for flowers. So, like yours (especially with prizes).

I agree with Stray Stitches....I wanted a pair of those white boots too! I did get a pair of cowboy boots one year when my DH went to buy a pair. He should know not to take a woman into a shoe store. I also had a pair of short dressy leather boots. I loved them. Wonder what ever happened to them. Em, your posts are always so much fun.

Boooots! I used to wear boots...until I got my own horse! LOL I rarely wore them then. Now? I barely wear SHOES at all....as soon as I walk in the door, the shoes are OFF! I kick my right shoe off when I drive - the car OR the sewing machine. But if I wore boots, I think they would be a 10 WIDE! lol

Yes, please, put me in the drawing for the fun wonky quilt too! :D

Many ((((((hugs)))))) & thanks for all the F*U*N, Em!

My dd lives in lime green with white polka dot rainboots. It took us FOREVER to find some big enough for her and still cute and she LOVES these. I'm making her an umbrella girl quilt with lots of different umbrella fabrics (she collects umbrellas and they seem to fall in her lap), purple dresses (she LOVES purple) and each girl will be wearing lime green polka dot boots! She's the sweetest girl.
My favorite boot thought though is of my dh putting each of our little ones in his HUMONGOUS (size 13) boot for a picture when they are first able to stand. I love those pictures.~

Hi Em, I always resisted 'frivolous' boots and bought 'sensible' (boring!) footwear instead...but I recently could not resist a pair of bright red, lace-up ankle boots...me? Really?! Since then, we have had beautiful, amazingly, unseasonal sunshine, so my lovely boots may not meet my feet until next winter, but I'm not complaining! Size 6 and a half (American 8...I think!)

My memory of boots is the red pull ons that I had to wear to elementary school over my shoes. They had the button on the side and the elastic to hold them on. I love my short boots I bought from Target last year. LOVE them! I wear an 8 1/2. Hey I thought you were going to buy someone boots and show us her piture Ms Auntie. I don't remember seeing the new picture.

Hmmmm, let's see. We can add "boot scootin" and "I'll give you that to boot"!! What a fun post! My favorite boots from the past were tall riding boots for hunter/jumper school. Yes, I was one of those snobs - not anymore!! YAY!! Now I want some of these: http://www.gardeners.com/Gardeners-Wellies/38-812,default,pd.html I can't get over how fun those would be, when I'm playing in my garden! See, I said I was not a snob now! Size 8 is great! Can't wait to see when you reveal what's in the boot!

I'm old enough to remember when go-go boots were soemthing new! I never really wanted a pair though. I always wanted cowgirl boots. The really beautiful ones, tooled and dyed leather, intricate stitching... you know! I have a piece of fabric printed with cowboy boots that I've been very stingy with. Oh, and I had a Santa in cowboy boots on fabric too! I made him into a Christmas stocking for my brother in law in TX. :- ) There are some awfully cute "wellies" out there now. I wouldn't mind having a pair of them either but they'd have to air out for a long time before I'd be able to put them on my feet! (My body doesn't tolerate vinyl or any petroleum based product.) In shoes I typically wear a 6 wide or a 6.5.

I would love to be entered to win your fun star quilt too!

Lots of BOOT energy from Duff, oh my!

Well, my knees need no heals, so the only boots I have had have been practical FLAT SIZE 11 ( a size that finally no longer embarasses me!!!)snow boots AND one pair of impractical (because my feet get way too hot a sweaty) but ooh so cute rubber pink polka dot boots - bought to splash in the numerous Seattle puddles.

I love the origin of "go-go". LOVE that NAncy song! Leads my mind to go-go cages..hmmmm

Found a good quote -

when the itch is inside the boot, scratching outside provides little consolation

- chinese proverb OF COURSE! HA! :)

Thanks Em!!!!!

The writer of this blog is really very professional. Every single line of this article is well written. New use of vocabulary is a great effort. At the same time tense, indirect speech was also sued in good manner.Scarpe fantasia
