I can hardly stand it, all the fun and silliness that is...I nearly peed my pants tonight trying to double dutch after 30 years of retirement from this sport, BEAUTY of having a kid.  Sean was laughing hysterically at me and him mimicking me had me doubled over....AND THEN....

Judi is getting married tomorrow and sent me an adorable photo of Abigail on the little quilt that she won as a giveaway a couple of weeks ago.  Look how precious she is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CELEBRATING! Erin's first wonky project and it has special meaning to me!

I was out with my husband buying double-dutch jump ropes and horse-shoes for his birthday party and could not get home soon enough to see if I had a surprise in the mail....a little Blackberry angel whispered that I might. 

LOOK HOW DANG CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and in my favorite colors :)!

Erin, "mama cubed", is the sweetie who created this for me for me and it is her first wonky project. Reminds me of my days out of high school and on world vacations when the highlight was journaling each day... 

Harley dog is unwilling to swing the jump rope at this time so I will patiently wait for Noah and Sean to arrive and then "jump until my heart's content" over the celebrations of today.  BRING ON THE WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!

My dear husband......I am a LUCKY woman!

This week has been very busy at my job and I love it, but I am also grateful the weekend is here....almost.  This afternoon my phone buzzed and look what I opened from my husband.

the text read, "...Celebrating your influence."

This weekend is his birthday and big bash tomorrow night at the house.  I can't wait!  It's "Sunday dinner" on Saturday...

The most fun part of this new quilt that I am piecing is that....

It was DESIGNED by my HUSBAND.  Fun to have him involved in the creative process.

The quilt is being created for Jess W. who I work with and asked that I make a commemorative quilt of her times at Second Nature Entrada since she is soon to relocate back East.  I couldn't stop making blocks last night, so fun.  Right now I have them placed without sashing but do not know how I will put together in the end.  Hoping Green Fairy will be the icing on the cake for the quilting.

CELEBRATING another show stopper by my CLS!

This morning Becky graciously sent me this lovely photo of a quilt my CLS, Sharon, pieced for them.  Wanted to celebrate its warmth with you all!

We did it!  We found the family of mustangs as pictured in the middle and the lone dad in this bottom pic.  Zoom in to see their grandness!

Last week we needed the yacht for traversing the Wilderness Rapids and today we are using it as a "party barge!"  for celebrating Erin's husbands birthday and ST. PATRICK"S DAY!  As you can see by the photo of my "backyard", weather is breathtaking!  Hope you are all wearing green or else......I'll poke you with my syringe "needle" or is that "Needling you!"

WAHOO, Here comes EASTER!

Sometime I just have to WONK it! SPRING is springing and I needed a project to hand quilt during American Idol tonight.  Thank good ness for slow days at work when I can come home early and create!  My favorite part of this quilt is the "SPRING" hiding....zoom close to find it!

Is not this a beauty!  It is about a half hour from my home to the trailhead and a couple hour stroll in beauty.  I look forward to another visit this summer.  I hope you enjoy! Wish I could promise we will visit this tomorrow but it is a little out of the way, I'll do my best to find something beautiful though!

How do they grow so fast? The quilt looked so big when I mailed it...

Little buckaroo is growing quick!  Can't wait to meet Joe this weekend, seemed like I was just sending his quilt with his aunt for his birth!

This is another masterpiece by my sister, SHARON. Believe it or not, it is her first applique quilt and it is as AMAZING AS SHE IS! Our quilting styles would never hint that we are sisters, but when you see us together, no denying the love we have! I will forever admire her talent!!!!!!!!!!!!

While watching a silly movie this evening, I received a fun and excited email from Erin at Mama Cubed Creations. She received the Boy Giveaway Wonky Star quilt in the mail today. The lucky winner is pictured on his new blanket and they call him "Peanut". How adorable is he?!

CELEBRATING a STORYBOOK ROMANCE! And Neighbor Chums....

Noah and Russell are inseparable neighbor chums. They have been on their bikes all day exploring and when I arrived home this evening they were chatting and looking at the goldfish in our pond. It is fun to catch them in the raw, unknowingly being photographed. And now they are Kung Fu fighting Sean and giggling incessantly. The beauty of little boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even the 42 year old!

This photo says it all! Kat and E are 2 friends that I worked with at Entrada before they moved East for school. As you can tell in their countenances, they are warm and fun loving people! I celebrate them as I sniffle and dab my teary eyes, tears of joy. I was working so intently on packaging medications and addressing diarrhea concerns and then an email from Kat popped up to let me know how she is doing the Duke nursing program. Her words were touching and I got homesick for them both.... Love to you both! Em
