I just had to share......just started these blocks last night for a new babe but....new meaning they have taken on since hearing from friends this morning....
As I took the photos I thought of moms who are experiencing their children leaving the nest as college and life experiences near.....
I don't love the brown on the top block so will most likely whack but am excited to make more and use lots of cream fabric so that the color is splashes.
And one more celebration....A favorite children's story of mine...

The Best Nest is a wonderful story! Although, the first time I read it to my children (after my father's funeral, ironically), I was pretty annoyed with how annoying the Mrs. was, and it wasn't until I realized she was pregnant (well, maybe you don't call birds pregnant, but prepping to lay an egg anyway) that I understood why - HORMONES!
